5 Ways To Boost Immunity - Inspired Action Plan

We’re kicking off a new series with 5 ways to boost immunity. Winter is the season we typically get busy with immunity during the flu season. But this year? Well….. The flu season never seems to take a break.

The 5 Ways to Boost Immunity was something I heard in a podcast. At first, I thought, “This is pretty good.” I used my usual response of sitting with it for a few days. Then I listened to the podcast again. That is when I thought, “This is perfect! It makes wonderful sense! It is pretty easy. I must share this.”

These 5 ways fit together with other lessons I’ve learned over the past few years. They all came together, like pieces in a puzzle…. All helping toward our bodies’ immune strength.

Overview of 5 Ways To Boost Immunity

To start – Imagine the wonderful sun shining. There are 5 strong rays emerging downward from the sun to earth. Each ray is another action step. That is what my mental picture conjures up. If you have a better image, I would love to hear about it.

Whenever the immune system deals successfully with an infection, it emerges from the experience stronger and better able to confront similar threats in the future. Our immune system develops in combat. If, at the first sign of infection, you always jump in with antibiotics, you do not give the immune system a chance to grow stronger. Andrew Weil

Using this sun metaphor, imagine this description.

The Sun Is At The Core Of Boosting Immunity

The source of energy, healing, and raising our vibrational energy. This is the core of immune health. This action plan helps us raise our energetic frequency, with translates into our ability to handle flu and viruses with greater ease. People who maintain a higher frequency tend to have a stronger immune system. Others, who live in lower energy frequencies will likely have lower immunity in handling illnesses. All the action steps assist us in raising our energetic vibrations.

Look At The 5 Ways To Boost Immunity

Prayer & Meditation

This daily action is time spent with God. I’ll admit that some people meditate without considering God. However, God is the highest source of love/light/energy, so I find Him to be the central focus in praying & meditating. Sometimes I call this action by another name – Mindfulness.

Whatever we call it, this IS a time to:

  • *turn off the noise (outside and inside our minds)
  • *ask for God’s insight
  • *forgive myself & others with God’s help
  • *release worries & cares to God’s plan, this can quiet those looping thoughts
  • *ask for healing of yourself & others
  • *listen for God’s reply – showing up as a heart-nudge, distinct directives, and new realizations

Supplements & Food Can Help Our Bodies To Resist Illness*

These tools build the scaffolding to support our health. Healthy bodies mean higher energetic vibration. Believe it or not, food and supplements hold their own vibrational frequency. The fresher and less-processed the food, the higher the vibrational energy they hold and offer when we eat it. The key supplements & foods for boosting immunity are:

  • >Sunlight for Vitamin D – about 20 minutes per day
  • >Vitamin C – 500 to 4,000 mg daily
  • >Quercetin – lowers inflammation, reduces allergies, improves energy/endurance
  • >Zinc – supports immune function and may help fight infections/colds
  • >Omega 3 – can fight inflammation, can help with anxiety/depression
  • >Oral iodine – helps with thyroid balance, can assist in healing infections
  • >Probiotics – this assists the gut/digestive tract, the gut is the key to immune health
  • >Magnesium – helps with depression, bowel movements & detox,
  • >Healthy fats – maintains liver health, and healthy body composition
  • >Reduce refined ingredients sugar flour – these kinds of food offer very little immune support
  • >Eliminate over processed foods – while these may taste good, they aren’t really feeding the body
  • >Restrict dairy, CHEESE, gluten, alcohol – These all add a huge amount of sugar, destroying the immune system

Exercise Is A Tool To Boost Immunity

This is a power packed tool for boosting immunity. It may seem counter-intuitive that exercise raises and increases energy. After all, we burn energy in exercise. Yet the way endorphins and other hormones zoom up after exercise is a big clue that exercise boosts our energy and immunity.

  • >Exercise controls weight
  • >Exercise combats health conditions and diseases
  • >Exercise improves mood (raises vibrational energy)
  • >Exercise boosts energy
  • >Exercise promotes better sleep
  • >Exercise puts the spark back into your sex life

Get at least 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic activity, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. This is a big tool to boost immunity.

Color Therapy & Grounding Helps Boost Immunity

Most of our American homes use a neutral color theme: gray, taupe, cream colored furniture and accessories. That is the current trend, which is all fine and good. Yet our brains are wired to see color regularly, in order to boost energy. Look at the ways colors can affect our emotions:

Green & yellow – improves digestion

Red & purple – improves adrenal function

Blue & green – helps with relaxation

Colors have frequencies which can impact our emotions and the way our bodies respond. This helps us get some settled feelings of being grounded. When we are grounded, it allows the much needed relaxation for sleep, prayer, and meditation. So take time to either wear colorful clothing, see colors in the room, or to look at colors in nature. “Take time to SEE the roses.”

Sing, Create, and Listen to Music Can Boost Immunity

Did you know that all sounds have a frequency? Remember learning about The Speed Of Sound? That involves the sound waves (vibrational waves) moving through the air. Specific frequencies of music help to boost the immune system in wonderful ways. Singing is about the best sound therapy we can do daily. Don’t worry about how your sound! The vibrations of singing help stimulate our eyes, vocal cords, pineal gland, and much more. We will look into the best frequencies for boosting our health. But until then, I drop one little hint… music using 432 hz, 444 hz, 528 hz are great for healing and immunity. Search it out on Youtube or Spotify.

5 Ways To Boost Immunity Are Fun And Easy-To-Do!

I’d like to sum this up with my personal thoughts on these steps.

They really aren’t that difficult to do

Ok, maybe the food one… about eating less refined foods may take a bit of effort. However, God created our bodies and brains to crave these 5 steps. We really must listen to our bodies, because down deep, they tell us they want these things.

Have you been able to listen to your body? Does it tell you what it needs?

Life gets so busy, that we often shut down that communication pathway. Yet when we learn HOW to listen to our bodies, we start catching on there are some significant DO’s and DON’Ts. Sometimes those DO’s and DON’Ts are quite different than what we hear from doctors or fitness gurus. For instance, many authorities suggest eating melon for Vitamin A health. Yet, if you are allergic to melons, your body would give you signals it doesn’t want that food. You may even sense these clues before getting formal allergy testing done. Or perhaps you always drink water in the afternoon. One day, you pick up on your body signaling you to add fresh squeezed lemon juice to the water. Then by all means, DO IT!

If you feel like ALL of these 5 steps are too much to implement right away, pick just one for now. My suggestion would be to work on prayer/meditation or singing/creating music. Either of those will help you start listening to the messages your body is sending. Once you are established, it truly becomes a joyful thing! I am delighted each time I hear a message my body is sending to me. Really!

This verse in Romans 12:1-2 helps me understand why it is so important to use these 5 tools to boost immunity:

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
