Do I Have Gut Issues?

Do I Have Gut Issues? If you asked me this question 2 years ago, I would have flippantly answered,

“NO. I don’t have any gut issues. I have an Iron Gut.”

In my view, Issues meant IBS, Leaky Gut, Painful Gut, Chronic Diarrhea or Chronic Constipation. At that point, Gut problems meant a person needed a Gastroenterologist, or specialist to oversee her gut and prescribe meds.

I didn’t think I had Tummy Troubles. All I had was frequent gas, but it was under control. I had gas almost all of the time. It was just farty, sometimes noisy. But that wasn’t really a problem. I felt good all the time. No problems, nope, not me!

Gut Issues Can Be Big And Bold,
Or Subtle And Silent

There ARE the Gut Issues that require a specialist’s help. IBS, Leaky Gut, Painful Gut, Chronic Diarrhea or Constipation are the Big And Bold types of Gut Issues. These kinds of ailments take over someone’s life. These ailments tend to be so Big And Bold, that they consume most waking moments.

The other kind of problem is Subtle and Silent. These kinds of symptoms are easily dismissed with excuses such as this:

  • It’s just a fart/bit of loose stool/constipation
  • Gassy problems run in my family. No big deal
  • Pooping twice a week is healthy, because I have BIG ONES when I go

My big misunderstanding was that I DID actually have a gut problem. Having constant gas, whether it is stinky, non-stinky, noisy, or quiet, is a problem! I learned that I DO have Gut Issues.

Our Gut Is Sending Us Messages

Big and Bold….Subtle and Silent – all of these are issues.

Here are some of the messages our gut may communicate:

  • Don’t eat (that food) because I cannot process it
  • I need high quality food, and you are only giving me processed/fake food
  • I am sick and extremely inflamed
  • I CANNOT do my job….HELP!

All of these are messages sent from our gut. It’s our task to hear these messages.
Once we understand the message, we’ve gotta do something about it.

This is the reason I have been focusing upon Gut Health, healthy foods,

and hidden toxins like plastic in our gut.
