What is Immune Gut?

What is Immune Gut? When I first discovered this term, I thought it sounded good. At first, it seemed like it meant the gut was healthy and able to provide immunity.

In truth, this gut issue means someone has multiple allergies and is intolerant to foods in the daily diet. At this point, there will be an imbalance of gut bacteria which lowers the immune system. Leaky gut is one symptom of Immune Gut.

Signs & Symptoms Of Immune Gut

This ailment happens because of food sensitivities – typically sensitivities to gluten and dairy. Most people with Immune Gut have multiple allergies or intolerances.

  • Skin Problems
  • Allergies
  • Low Immunity
  • Autoimmune conditions

In addition to this, long-term use of antibiotics, steroids, and birth control pills can flare up even worse immune disorders and inflammatory bowel diseases.

Habits That Flare Immune Gut

These routines either kick off or intensify this kind of gut problem:

  • Frequent use of antibiotics, steroids, or birth control pills
  • A gluten laden diet
  • Eating dairy products
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Processed/packaged foods

Emotions Connected To This Gut Issue

It’s amazing to see an emotional connection with this gut ailment. This personality profile typically is detail oriented, a perfectionist, depression, or being insecure.

Here’s WHY this Gut/Emotions connection is affected: Serotonin is produced in the gut. This gut issue means Serotonin levels aren’t meeting demands. Production is dependent upon Tryptophan enzymes being present and strong in the gut.

Action Steps To Improve And Heal

Big actions to heal will require that we become more aware or mindful of foods we eat and medications we take. Consider these action steps:

  • Keep a diet journal – this can help you identify foods that you are sensitive to eating
  • Drink bone broth and eat healthy fats daily
  • Take digestive supplements like Tryptophan, L-glutamine, short chain fatty acids, liposomal curcumin, and liposomal glutathione.
  • Start an elimination or paleo diet to identify the food irritants

It’s Important To Take Action Steps, Even If We Don’t Have Full Blown Immune Gut. Why?

Because these action steps WILL support our gut,

which boosts our immunity.
