Mindfulness – Hanging Onto The Old Times is a static, and comforting desire. Life continues to bring new phases and times to us. So the fabulous times will eventually give way to more difficult ones.
The difficult times are when we learn the deepest lessons that God has planned for us. When these difficult times come, we have to lift our hearts to God….. Ask what we are supposed to learn…..Acknowledge our human desire for ease and comfort. We must acknowledge our tendency to hang onto the old times.
We recently had the Spring Daylight Savings Time change take place. This Spring change has never been one that I like, because I lose and hour of morning daylight. Our family room clock did something funny, which led me to think it didn’t like this time change either. HAHAHAHAHA! I will talk about Hanging Onto The Old Times in this video.
This quote gives me a smile. Winston Churchill considers Daylight Savings as if it were a bank account. Our lives are the dazzle gifts.
“An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later.” Winston Churchill
In the midst of this clock event, I realized that we can’t hold onto the past. Mindfulness means I must be open to the future, even though it feels uncertain.
“Letting go of the past means opening up to the future, and sometimes the unknown is scarier than the past.”
Last week, I wrote about Timing: Trusting God. Did you get to see my video on that?
Enjoy your healthy life!
